Leak: Traps

Amy was doing everything right. Khan Academy in the mornings, a prep course at weekends, a stack of practice tests she worked through on her own. The score sat at 1260 and stayed there.

Her mom had watched all of it, the late nights and the confidence draining out of her every time another flat score came back. She'd paid for the course and the materials and was starting to wonder if she'd wasted the money. Worse, whether Amy was starting to believe she just wasn't a "1500 kid."

We ran the full audit and found it quickly. Amy wasn't missing content. She was losing points on a handful of question types nobody had taught her how to read, and running out of time on sections she should have finished with minutes to spare. So we stopped the random practice, worked on only those, and ran timed, proctored simulations until test day felt ordinary.

Ten weeks later she scored 1510, and walked out knowing she'd done it.

"We'd already spent on a course and months of Khan with nothing to show for it, and I was ready to give up. Within the first two weeks they showed us exactly what was costing Amy points, which no one else ever did. Seeing 1510 come back.. I cried. She walked in calm and walked out knowing she'd nailed it."Amy’s mom
