How Chris went from 1330 to 1520 on the SAT

Chris wasn't a struggling student. He was a 1330 student, which is the hardest place to be stuck. He'd had tutors before, good ones, and his score moved from the low 1300s to the mid 1300s and then stopped. After a while a number that won't move stops feeling like a plateau and starts feeling like a ceiling.

His dad wasn't looking for someone to teach his son algebra. He wanted someone who could explain why a smart kid hits 1330 over and over and can't get past it. The tutors couldn't.
